Château Guiraud
A first growth of 1855 in Sauternes, in the commune of Sauternes itself, Guiraud was the first classified growth of the region to be certified organic, and it keeps an unusually high share of Sauvignon Blanc in its plantings. It is a large estate, most of whose land is surrounded by parkland and woods, and it maintains a conservatory of Sémillon and Sauvignon varieties and clones devoted to the property's biodiversity.
