Château
Château Gruaud Larose
A second growth of 1855 in Saint-Julien, Gruaud Larose is one of the commune's largest single blocks of vines, on the gravel of the southern plateau. Its motto, 'the king of wines, the wine of kings', is one of the oldest advertising slogans in the Médoc, and its wines pass for the sturdiest and earthiest of the appellation.
