Château Lafite Rothschild

Pauillac

A first growth of 1855 in Pauillac, at the commune's northern edge, Lafite Rothschild passes for the most restrained and most perfumed of the first growths, built on a high proportion of Cabernet Sauvignon and a long ageing in new barrels. Owned by the French branch of the Rothschilds since 1868, it also names the group that holds Duhart-Milon in the same commune and Rieussec in Sauternes.
