Sixty ares and no more, immediately below Romanée-Saint-Vivant, on the shelf overlooking the village — the smallest of the appellation's fourteen classified climats. The soils are those of the lower slope, clayier and a little deeper, over crinoidal limestone. Volumes are so small that the name rarely appears on a label.
