Boundaries: INAO, AOC vineyard plot delimitation (September 2026 edition) · Open Licence

Nine and a half hectares on the slight shelf overlooking the village, between 247 and 260 metres: the lowest and deepest-soiled of the Vosne grands crus. The bedrock is Bajocian crinoidal limestone and, towards the east, a Tertiary conglomerate of limestone blocks set in salmon-pink marl. The name comes from the abbey of Saint-Vivant de Vergy, founded around 890, which owned vines and a press house here.
