Six hectares in a single block at the southern end of the slope, a narrow strip running straight down the incline between 250 and 300 metres — with La Grande Rue, one of only two Vosne grands crus to cross the hillside this way. Crinoidal limestone and marl at the bottom, soft Bathonian limestone at the top and, to the east near the village, a Tertiary conglomerate of large blocks set in salmon-pink marl. A monopoly of the Domaine de la Romanée-Conti.
