Boundaries: INAO, AOC vineyard plot delimitation (September 2026 edition) · Open Licence

An appellation for white vins doux naturels on four communes in the east of the Hérault, around Lunel, between Nîmes and Montpellier. The vines grow on gently sloping hills built from Rhône alluvium, on rounded pebbles bound in red clay, known locally as "gress". The wine comes solely from Muscat à Petits Grains, fortified with neutral spirit during fermentation. The term "Muscat de Noël" marks a wine bottled in the year of the harvest.
