An appellation of the Drôme provençale covering 21 communes on the left bank of the Rhône, south of Montélimar and north of Bollène, between the river and the Enclave des Papes. Recognised in 1973 as "Coteaux du Tricastin", it has taken the name of the commune of Grignan since 2010. Its specification places it at the northern limit of Grenache growing; its reds, most of the output, give Syrah a large share.
