A single hectare, hemmed in between Aux Brulées to the north and Richebourg below, on ground so lean and rocky that it had to be broken with the pick and, it is said, with explosives. Tradition holds that Jerusalem artichokes grew here during the Second World War. Replanted and revealed by Henri Jayer from the 1950s onwards, it is now one of the most sought-after premiers crus of the Côte.
