A southern Rhône cru on four communes of the Vaucluse, in and on the southern flank of the Dentelles de Montmirail, between 200 and 450 metres up, often on narrow man-made terraces known as "restanques". Recognised in 2005, the appellation makes dry red wine only, led by Grenache with Syrah and Mourvèdre. The village's sweet wines belong to a separate appellation, Muscat de Beaumes-de-Venise.
